This wine will rebranded in 2013 as "Quinta da Ribeira"
One of the best red table wines made on the island.
Soil and Climate: vineyards based in the crater of an extinct volcano, on the north of the island of Madeira near São Vicente. The mild climate and proximity to the sea lend to the suave maturation of the grapes.
Grape varietals used: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, harvested by hand and by zone when maturation is reached.
Wine production: medium body, fermented in vats of stainless steel and then matured in new casks of French and American oak.
Serving suggestion: serve as accompaniment to main course meals comprising red meats at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC.
Bottling: only 3400 bottles produced of this vintage. Each bottle is numbered. Wine is registered with the Government Institute for Wine in Madeira.
